Wikipedia describes the Pan–African Congress as "a series of height [I think they mean eight] meetings ... following on from the first Pan–African Congress in London."
Somewhat confusingly, the first of the eight that followed the London conference of 1900 was also known as the First Pan–African Congress. It was held in Paris in 1919:
First | 1919 | Paris |
Second | 1921 | London |
Third | 1923 | London |
Fourth | 1927 | New York |
Fifth | 1945 | Manchester |
Sixth | 1974 | Dar es Salaam |
Seventh | 1994 | Kampala |
Eighth | 2014 | Johannesburg |
